Dawn Chavanu

Details

Growing up on the plains of South Dakota and being the 4th daughter of a rancher, Dawn learned to cook at the early age of 6 years old.  Dawn prepared her cooking creations for her family while her other sisters helped her dad on the ranch and her mother worked outside the home.  Most of the family dishes were a culinary surprise, making Dawn’s specialty of cooking an artist palate, where most masterpieces or dishes cannot be created twice. Besides cooking up a storm, Dawn also indulges in her passion for family and friends and making them feel loved and welcome at anytime. These times are proven when celebrating around a dinner table or a party where she has prepared numerous comfort foods to enjoy.

Mary Kampfe

Details

Mary Kampfe lives in Kearney and is a woman of many talents.  Baking is just one of them.  Mary's love for cooking came from working side by side with her mom from her youth on. Mary loves to bake breads and desserts and looks forward to sharing her love of baking in the Cooking classes. Mary has a degree in dietics from UNK. She is the mother of two boys and her husband, Matt Kampfe, works at Physical Therapy Professional services.

Mary works at “Look What's Cookin” so she'll be able to answer any question you have on the many items we carry at the store.  What makes this class even more beneficial is Mary has personally talked to the owner of the Nordicware Company so you'll leave knowing all there is to know about your pans and their uses.
